Kim & Robert Marling of Woodforest Charitable Foundation to be honored at Children’s Safe Harbor’s capital campaign luncheon on March 28.
Children’s Safe Harbor will honor Kim and Robert Marling of Woodforest Charitable Foundation at its capital campaign luncheon set for Friday, March 28, 2025, at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott.
Through the stewardship of the Marlings, the Woodforest Charitable Foundation has been a major supporter of Children’s Safe Harbor since 2009. In 2022, the Foundation committed a $2.5 million donation toward the naming rights of Children’s Safe Harbor’s new building currently under construction in Conroe. The new, expanded 45,000-square-foot facility, set to open in the fall of 2025, will nearly double the size of the children’s advocacy center’s existing space.
Children’s Safe Harbor’s mission is to achieve justice, healing, and hope for every child victim of severe physical abuse, sexual assault, child sex trafficking, neglect, and trauma, and to engage the community in that mission. As a nationally-accredited, nonprofit children’s advocacy organization serving the counties of Montgomery County, Walker County, and San Jacinto, Children’s Safe Harbor is part of a nationwide effort to heal the trauma and facilitate justice for abused children ages 2 through 17 and their families.
“We are extremely excited to honor Kim and Robert Marling of Woodforest Charitable Foundation at our capital campaign luncheon this spring,” said Victoria Constance, MSPH, Ph.D., Executive Director and CEO of the Board of Directors for Children’s Safe Harbor. “It is a most fitting form of recognition as they have been steadfast supporters of our organization for the last fifteen years and are major contributors to our beautiful new facility which will be a gateway to bring light and hope to more children who suffer from unfortunate abuse and trauma. We extend our heartfelt thanks and humble appreciation to the Marlings and Woodforest Charitable Foundation for the longtime investment in and support of our mission to provide justice, healing, and hope to our community’s most vulnerable and precious resource … our children.”
The Woodforest Charitable Foundation, established by Woodforest National Bank in 2005, is committed to supporting and investing in the communities it serves. Through dedicated leadership and faithful administration, the Foundation provides funding to qualifying 501(c)(3) charities, creating a legacy of commitment to those in need and enriching lives and communities.
