About Us
Since 1992, Child Advocates has served children and families in the child welfare system, appointing a volunteer guardian ad litem to 100 percent of the children in care in Montgomery County for the past 10 years. In 2024, the nonprofit expanded its programs to serve children involved in the juvenile justice and truancy systems. Its Community Education Division also provides training and resources to schools, government agencies, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and other groups on adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), trauma-informed care, and human trafficking and exploitation prevention.
