Texas State Federation of Square & Round Dancers 57th State Festival "Dancing Across Texas - Escape the Everyday"

Texas State Federation of Square and Round Dance “Dance Across Texas – Escape the Everyday” Houston Square and Round Dance Council will host the Texas State Federation of Square and Round Dancers 57th State Festival “Dance Across Texas – Escape the Everyday”. Location will be at The Brazos Center, 3232 Briarcrest Drive, Bryan-College Station, June13-15, 2019. Early Round dancing will start at 7:00 pm following at 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm MS/Announced Plus/Rounds. Square dancer admission at the door will be Thursday - $11.00; Friday - $13.00; and Saturday - $18.00. Non-square dancers/spectators are welcome and free admission. Alcohol and Tobacco prohibited Square dancing is a clean, family oriented, packed full of FUN activity and entertainment for all ages from early teens to nonagenarian. Yes sir!! We even have 80-90 year-olds square dancers on the floors. How awesome!!! “Square dancing keeps everyone young at heart.” You can travel from East to West and from North to South in our “country” to find square dancing events, meet new dancers, and make the best of friends. You will have the opportunity to meet the officers from the Texas State Federation of Square and Round Dancers, plus many other officers and dancers from all over Texas. Come and watch!! It’s very addictive!!!!! Square and round dance lessons are offered throughout the year by local clubs that include 40 hours of dance instruction spread over a certain amount of time and days. A square dance is a dance for four couples (eight dancers in total) arranged in a square, with one couple on each side, facing the middle of the square.
