15th Annual March for Marrow 5K Run & Walk, The Woodlands
The 15th Annual March for Marrow 5K & Walk is scheduled for 4/6/2024, at Northshore Park, The Woodlands. There are In-Person or Virtual options for participants. The course is flat, fast and a combo pavement and crushed granite trail. This is a fundraiser for bone marrow diseases. Everyone receives a t-shirt & goody bag. Runners and walkers can also register at Packet Pick-Up, Thursday, April 4, 2024, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, at Fleet Feet Sports, 1925 Hughes Landing Blvd., Suite 900, The Woodlands. Our Star Patient this year is Liz Williams of The Woodlands. Liz was 7 years old when she was diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia. Because these diseases are rare her parents contacted the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation (AAMDSIF) for guidance. By January of 1997, Liz was under the care of the top specialists in the U.S. and received a life-saving bone marrow transplant from her sister, Sarah. Liz is now a wife and mother to an energetic 4-year-old. She also recently published a children’s book for families and children going through the bone marrow transplant process. Liz and her family are eternally grateful to AAMDSIF for their guidance and support.
